Article body

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: BCP ), revealed that Bangchak Group’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production unit—which has continuously attracted interest from many secftors—has now completed its construction and has begun full-scale commercial operations. This unit was developed and pioneered entirely by BCP, and has been elevated to a factory with international standards to support the future low-carbon aviation fuel industry. It is also an essential part of Bangchak Group’s business strategy aimed at achieving Net Zero. In addition to investing in the construction of the SAF production unit, Bangchak Group continues to build an ecosystem around used cooking oil (UCO), covering collection, raw material management, and processing into SAF and renewable diesel, or Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO)—an environmentally friendly biodiesel fuel. These initiatives reflect BCP’s role in supporting energy security and energy sustainability, even though currently many countries have not yet established clear policies to support the use of SAF. Chaiwat further added that Bangchak Group is preparing to export SAF to global buyers for the first time on May 19, 2026. This marks a significant milestone reflecting Thailand’s readiness to enter the new era of the global aviation fuel supply chain, in terms of product quality, certification standards, and related infrastructure. This achievement represents another major step for Bangchak Group in extending its role from a pioneer in Thailand’s renewable energy sector to becoming a leader in the energy of the future, reaffirming its commitment to global leadership in “Greenovation” under the vision of “Crafting a Sustainable World with Green Innovation.”
