Article body

On Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,643.90 points, showing an increase of 4.56 points or 0.28%, with a trading value of THB 46.27 billion. Yuanta Securities (Thailand) noted that the Thai stock market traded sideways with stability, supported by renewed buying interest in banking stocks and speculative trading in shares expected to post strong 2Q26 results. Furthermore, the export sector saw gains, benefiting from the rapid depreciation of the Thai baht. However, yield play stocks faced negative sentiment as U.S. government bond yields continued to rise, putting pressure on the telecommunications and power generation sectors. The tourism sector also came under selling pressure due to ongoing concerns over volatility and tensions in the Middle East. For the afternoon session, Yuanta expects the market to maintain a sideways movement, with trading volumes likely softening compared to previous days as Thailand approaches a long holiday period. The brokerage provided a support level at 1,635 points and a resistance level at 1,650 points. The five most actively traded securities by trading value were as follows: KTB: trading value THB 2.76 billion, closing at THB 41.75, up THB 0.75 or 1.83% DELTA: trading value THB 2.61 billion, closing at THB 311.00, up THB 7.00 or 2.30% PTT: trading value THB 2.58 billion, closing at THB 39.25, unchanged BBL: trading value THB 2.46 billion, closing at THB 187.50, up THB 0.50 or 0.27% PTTEP: trading value THB 1.95 billion, closing at THB 151.00, up THB 2.50 or 1.68%
